Transport The No. 39 bus (operated by Stagecoach) runs from Brecon to
Hereford via Hardwicke. It leaves Hay along the Hardwicke Road (B4348) and turns right at
the Hardwicke turn to Dorstone and
through the Golden Valley to Hereford.
This is a limited services
with an early morning bus arriving at the Hardwicke turn at 07.18 (plus
one at 07.28 during termtime). The next bus is at 10.06.
Passengers wishing to connect with the National Express bus
to London should catch the early bus, which
entails a wait of approximately one hour in Hereford. The return
National Express bus from London, arrives 15 minutes
before the last No. 39 from Hereford at 17.50.
Buses from Hardwicke via Hay to Brecon commence at 09.19 and run at
irregular intervals thereafter on weekdays. There is a limited
Sunday service run by Yeomans Canyon.
There are frequent rail connections to London from Hereford via Newport
and a direct route to London from Hereford in the early afternoon.
A
fully adapted wheelchair accessible minibus is operated and provides a
daily service between 09:00 and 16:30 to people living within 9 miles
of Hay-on -Wye. Membership of the Dial-a-Ride Service is open to any
person who is either of state pensionable age or is registered as
disabled. The area covered extends beyond Clifford to Bredwardine,
Peterchurch, Painscastle and Bronllys.

Recycling There is some kerbside recycling in parts of the parish, otherwise the
nearest recycling facility is in Hay-on-Wye, in the Co-op supermarket
car park. The table below shows what happens to th recycled
material (information reproduced from the June, 2007 issue of The
Link).

Internet and digital Broadband
access is available in most parts of Clifford, though the service is
sporadic in Priory Wood. The nearest public internet access is at
Hay-on-Wye library, which offers the service for free. Clifford does not currently receive the BBC's digital service via Freeview. Digital switchover is scheduled for the year 2011.
